Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Many, strong rip currents are reported from south facing beaches. Use extra caution and swim near a lifeguard.
