Bulletin details

* WHAT...Coastal flooding, with water levels of 2.0 to 3.0 feet above the normal highest tide line, and 40 mph southwest winds with gusts up to 55 mph. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast, including Kipnuk, Kwigillingok and Kongiganak. * WHEN...7 PM Sunday to 7 AM AKDT Monday, highest water levels expected around midnight Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Coastal flooding of low lying areas and erosion are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Relatively, the area to see higher water levels is expected to be Kipnuk. The most likely scenario is for water levels to be 2.0 to 3.0 ft above the normal high tide line. Kwigillingok may see water levels of 1.0 to 2.0 ft above the normal highest tide line. The peak will be around midnight Monday morning, coinciding with high tide. Following this system, steady southwesterly flow is expected to continue for the Kuskokwim Delta coastline through Tuesday, which may slow the ability for flood waters to recede.
