An intensifying Typhoon Bavi (09W) continues to barrel toward the Marianas from the east, with coastal inundation becoming likely beginning late Sunday afternoon, potentially sooner if the system moves faster. Once the system exits to the west-northwest by Tuesday night, coastal erosion is likely to spread to west facing shores while dissipating elsewhere, but timing is highly uncertain.
