* WHAT...Visibility 1 mile or less in dense smoke. * WHERE...Inland Berkeley County. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EDT this morning. * IMPACTS...Thick smoke will make travel difficult and could cause respiratory difficulty. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Horse Island Wildfire burning in the Francis Marion National Forest near Shulerville is producing widespread dense smoke with visibility 1 mile or less across portions of northeast Berkeley County. Visibilities may lower to 1/4 mile or less overnight as winds diminish and the smoke lowers closer to the ground. Heed any evacuation orders from local, state or federal officials.
