The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a * Dust Advisory for... Northwestern Hidalgo County in southwestern New Mexico... * Until 245 AM MDT. * At 116 AM MDT, sustained outflow winds from earlier thunderstorms have been gusting between 40 and 50 mph around Lordsburg Playa. Visibility along Interstate 10 has mostly been greater than 5 miles, but occassionally will drop to around 1 or 2 miles. HAZARD...Visibility occassionally dropping to 1 or 2 miles with strong winds up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Detected by National Weather Service meteorologists and NMDOT weather stations. IMPACT...Hazardous travel. * This includes Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 1 and 19. Locations impacted include... Cotton City, Steins, Road Forks, Lordsburg Playa, Granite Gap, and Pyramid Mountains.
