Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE! Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your foot off the brake.

At 1225 AM MST, a wall of dust was located along a line from 9 miles southwest of Topawa to 15 miles northeast of Santa Rosa, moving west at 15 mph. HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. SOURCE...Detected by National Weather Service meteorologists. IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel. Locations impacted include... Sells, Topawa, Gu Oidak, Vamori, Cowlic, No:ligk, Cababi, Comobabi, Sil Nakya, San Luis Sells District, Artesia, Rincon and Itak. This includes Route 86 between mile markers 102 and 118.
