What the bulletin says to do

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.

Major to Extreme HeatRisk is expected. * WHERE...Eastern Cochise County below 5000 feet and Upper Gila River Valley. * WHEN...Until 8 PM MST Monday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Warm overnight low temperatures of 84 to 90 degrees in the deserts will provide little to no relief from heat overnight. Warmest overnight low temperatures expected in the Western Deserts.
