What the bulletin says to do
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

For the second Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 113 expected. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina. * WHEN...For the first Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the second Extreme Heat Warning, from 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...For the Extreme Heat Warning, the highest heat index values are expected from noon through 5 PM today. Additionally, isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon could provide relief in some areas.
