What the bulletin says to do

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Overnight lows only drop to about 80 each morning. * WHERE...Kingfisher, Logan, Payne, Garfield, Grant, Kay, Noble, Alfalfa, Major, and Woods Counties. * WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until noon CDT today. For the Extreme Heat Warning, from noon today to 7 PM CDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to 8 PM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
