For the Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 115 possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the Extreme Heat Watch, from Saturday morning through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...For the Extreme Heat Warning, the highest heat index values are expected from noon through 5 PM today. Additionally, isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon may provide relief in some areas.
