...BREEZY WESTERLY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY SATURDAY... .A weather system will bring widespread breezy westerly winds through the Cascade gaps and across the Columbia Basin and portions of the Blue Mountains region on Saturday afternoon and evening. Coupled with low relative humidity, this may lead to critical fire weather conditions. The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 690 Kittitas Valley, 691 Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon, 691 Lower Columbia Basin of Washington and 703 Warm Springs Reservation. * TIMING...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. * WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 25 to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Afternoon values of 15 to 25 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
