What the bulletin says to do

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

Bulletin details

At 349 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rainfall ended over the warned area. However, flash flooding remains a threat from earlier thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Greens Peak and Cerro Montoso Peak. This includes Highway 60 between mile markers 366 and 372. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Vernon Creek, Carnero Creek, Horseshoe Creek, Big Hollow Wash, Little Colorado River, Mineral Creek, Bog Creek, Fish Creek and Wildcat Creek.
