What the bulletin says to do

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Stay away or be swept away! The banks of creeks and washes are unstable and unsafe during any flooding event. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

At 636 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rainfall had ended over Leupp. However, flash flooding remains a threat from earlier thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, and normally dry washes. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Leupp and Sunrise. This includes State Route 99 between mile markers 64 and 71. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Canyon Diablo Wash, Little Colorado River, Polacca Wash and Jeddito Wash.
