At 853 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the Cherry Creek drainage. Between 1.75 and 3 inches of rain fell. Flooding impacts will continue as runoff flows through Cherry Creek, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly...

What the bulletin says to do

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

Bulletin details

At 853 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the Cherry Creek drainage. Between 1.75 and 3 inches of rain fell. Flooding impacts will continue as runoff flows through Cherry Creek, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly through Cheery Creek. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Young and Pendleton Mesa. This includes State Route 288 between mile markers 294 and 311.
