Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

At 741 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area earlier this evening. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson International Airport and Rita Ranch. This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 264 and 274. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Harrison Rd at Pantano Wash, Old Spanish Trl at Rincon Creek, Escalante Rd at Atterbury Wash, Alamo Wash between Speedway and Grant and Drexel Rd east of Alvernon Way.
