FFWTWC The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... East Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 245 AM MST. * At 1140 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tucson, Drexel Heights, South Tucson, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, San Xavier Community, Valencia West, Tucson Mountain Park, Tucson Estates, Tucson International Airport, Summit, Ryan AirField and San Xavier Mission. This includes the following highways... Interstate 19 between mile markers 54 and 63. Route 86 between mile markers 163 and 171. Interstate 10 between mile markers 255 and 256...and between mile markers 258 and 261...and between mile markers 263 and 265...and between mile markers 267 and 270. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Country Club Rd at Franco Wash, Santa Clara Ave at El Vado Wash, Drexel Rd east of Alvernon Way, Mark Rd from Jeffery Rd to Los Reales Rd, Mission Rd from Valencia Rd to San Xavier Rd, Old Vail COnnection Rd at Franco Wash and Black Wash at S Camino de Oeste.
