At 816 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area earlier this evening. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tanque Verde, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, Catalina Foothills and Seven Falls. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Snyder Rd from Kolb Rd to Sabino Canyon Rd. This includes the following streams and drainages... Esperero Wash, Ventana Canyon Wash, Tanque Verde Wash, Rillito River, Sabino Creek, Pantano Wash and Bird Canyon.
