Central Santa Cruz County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 115 AM MST. * At 1138 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in and around Rio Rico. Between 0.5 and 2.3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Rio Rico. This includes Interstate 19 between mile markers 10 and 17. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Pendleton Dr at Sonoita Creek.
