What the bulletin says to do

Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order. This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and ditches in the Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in places. If you encounter flood waters...climb to safety. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE ASPEN ACRES BURN SCAR REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR EASTERN CUSTER AND SOUTHWESTERN PUEBLO COUNTIES... At 400 PM MDT, Emergency response officials reported flood waters have receded in the Beulah area but flooding continues along the lower reaches of the North St Charles River downstream of the Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Middle, Squirrel Creek and North St Charles River through Beulah. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding in and around the Aspen Acres Burn Scar. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! Stay away from fast flowing water downstream of the Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... North St Charles River downstream of Beulah. This includes the following high risk locations... Road crossings in and near the North St Charles River.
