FFWBOU The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Elbert County in east central Colorado... Central Lincoln County in east central Colorado... * Until 730 PM MDT. * At 432 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, gulches, roads, and poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Southeastern Elbert and Central Lincoln Counties. This includes the following streams and drainages... Apache Creek, Mustang Creek, Antelope Creek, South Rush Creek, Middle Rush Creek, Long Creek, Rush Creek and North Rush Creek.
