At 737 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Spring Branch and St Charles River. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Stream crossings and county roads within and immediately downstream of the burn scar including Spring Branch, and the St Charles River east of Beulah. This is a second round of heavy rainfall for the very eastern edge of the Aspen Acres Burn scar along the St Charles River. Flooding may occur farther downstream from the burn scar due to already saturated conditions. This includes the following streams and drainages... North Saint Charles River east of Beulah, Spring Branch, Muddy Creek and the Saint Charles River.
