At 609 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Fourmile Creek basin south of Highway 24. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.25 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of West Central Teller County including the Fourmile Creek and its tributaries south of highway 24. This includes the following streams and drainages... Fourmile Creek and its tributaries including but not limited to Hay Creek and Dry Creek.
