At 356 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated moderate to locally heavy showers continue over the Koolau Mountains and portions of windward Oahu, with the heaviest rain falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Water levels in the Waiahole and Waikane Streams have declined slightly but remain high enough to support water overflowing onto Kamehameha Highway. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Gauges reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Honolulu, Kahaluu, Waiahole, Ahuimanu, Waikane, Kaneohe, Kaaawa, Aiea, Kaneohe Marine Base, Halawa, Moanalua and Pearl City.
