FFWHFO The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... The island of Oahu in Honolulu County * Until 545 PM HST. * At 252 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated a band of heavy rain moving over the windward side of Oahu, focused over the Koolau Mountains. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2.5 inches per hour. Waiahole and Manoa Streams are elevated once again. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Honolulu, Waipio, Waiahole, Waikane, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu, Aiea, Pearl City, Halawa, Moanalua, Mililani and Salt Lake.
