At 846 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Davenport. Multiple roads have water over them and a portion of Western Avenue is closed. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen over much of the warned area this evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible this evening, mainly on the Illinois side of the Quad Cities. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
