Southwestern Kankakee County in northeastern Illinois... * Until 445 AM CDT. * At 152 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour moving into an area that already received 1.5 inches of rainfall due to an earlier storm. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Watseka, Gilman, Herscher, Clifton, Sheldon, Chebanse, Ashkum, Martinton, Crescent City, Danforth, Donovan and Iroquois.
