East Central La Salle County in north central Illinois... Southern Grundy County in northeastern Illinois... * Until 345 AM CDT. * At 1147 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms with rain rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour. Up to 2.5 inches has occurred so far just north of Streator. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Streator, Marseilles, Dwight, Seneca, Gardner, Mazon, South Streator, Braceville, Grand Ridge, South Wilmington, Ransom, Kangley, Verona, Campus, Reddick, East Brooklyn and Kinsman.
