At 1009 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that earlier thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain fell. Additional thunderstorms are approaching the warned area, and they could produce another round of heavy rainfall. The additional rainfall could allow any ongoing flash flooding to continue or worsen. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Barbourville, Bertha Station, Gray, Rossland, Arkle, Lynn Camp, Garrich, Knoxfork, McHargue, Bentley Station, Tuttle, Lowell, Emmanuel, Jarvis, Baileys Switch, Lesbas, Lily, Cannon, North Corbin and Heidrick.
