New York (Manhattan) County in southeastern New York... Queens County in southeastern New York... Richmond (Staten Island) County in southeastern New York... * Until 1045 AM EDT. * At 842 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated one band of thunderstorms producing heavy rain moving east across Brooklyn, with additional activity expected to move northeast into the region through 1000am. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen over the last 6 hours. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area through 11 am. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
