What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.

At 632 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms ended across the warned area. Between 0.6 and 2 inches of rain fell earlier from Alma to Glenwood and Pleasanton, and also over Big Dry Creek. Flash flooding is likely ongoing. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Glenwood, Pleasanton and Alma. Dangerous water levels are expected in Whitewater Creek, Big Dry Creek, and the San Francisco River.
