At 629 PM MDT, Thunderstorms are slowly weakening just south of Las Cruces. The focus of heavy rainfall has shifted just south of Talavera. The area of greatest concern is the residential area off South Sonoma Ranch Boulevard, just upstream of Fillmore Dam. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of arroyos, urban areas, roads, underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Far south end of Las Cruces and Talavera, including the Tierra Escondida neighborhood, and areas near Thomas Moran Road.
