Northern Otero County in south central New Mexico... * Until 715 PM MDT. * At 517 PM MDT, Persistent thunderstorms over Bent and Nogal Canyon have produced 1 to 1.5 inches of rain in the past hour, adding to rainfall experienced earlier today and yesterday. Expect minor flooding in side canyons, with additional flooding along Nogal Canyon, around Bent, and downstream on Tularosa Creek. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Nogal Canyon and Bent.
