At 822 PM MDT, Light to moderate rain is moving back over the Tularosa Creek basin, but is not expected to exacerbate flooding. However, flooding has occurred on the creek. The peak flow reached the river gauge at Gato Mountain Road around 5:45 PM, and reached Tularosa Falls around 7 PM. High flows will work their way downstream towards low water crossings around Tularosa in the next few hours. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar.
