FFWBGM The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Tompkins County in central New York... * Until 245 PM EDT. * At 1146 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly as another area of heavy rain moves in from the south. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Ithaca, Danby, Dryden, Freeville, Besemer, Brooktondale, Slaterville Springs, Cayuga Heights, West Slaterville, East Ithaca, Etna, South Hill, Allan H.
