What the bulletin says to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

At 308 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. While the heaviest of the rain was over in the warned area for now, additional showers and thunderstorms forming in western Ohio could arrive by daybreak this morning. Flash flooding is occurring with road closures in New Lexington, Crooksville and Roseville. There were water rescues in New Lexington and water rescues and evacuations in Crooksville. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... New Lexington, Somerset, Perry State Forest, Crooksville, Junction City and Eagleport.
