FFWCAE The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Lexington County in central South Carolina... Southwestern Newberry County in central South Carolina... Saluda County in central South Carolina... * Until 730 PM EDT. * At 430 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
