This water will continue to move downstream into the Escalante River and through Upper Escalante River Canyon. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen today....

At 308 PM MDT, the gauge on Pine Creek at Escalante reported flows of 1090 cfs from earlier thunderstorms producing heavy rain across Pine Creek Box Canyon. This water will continue to move downstream into the Escalante River and through Upper Escalante River Canyon. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen today. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Gauges reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, slot canyons, and normally dry washes. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pine Creek Box Canyon and Upper Escalante River Canyon.
