* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...Little Susitna River from the Parks Highway downstream. * WHEN...Until 1100 PM AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1054 PM AKDT, river gauge reports indicate rises in water levels from heavy rain across the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. The crest is expected to occur near the Parks Highway overnight tonight in minor flood stage and the begin to recede. Areas farther downstream toward the Susitna Landing Public Use area will likely not see the river crest until Saturday night or Sunday morning. For Little Susitna at Houston: At 9:50pm the stage was 11.0 feet. Flood Stage is 11.0 feet. Forecast: A crest around 11.3 feet is expected around 4:00am Saturday. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
