* WHAT...Small stream and localized urban flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Seward. * WHEN...Until 415 PM AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Excessive rainfall may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. Flooding may occur in poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Light rainfall will gradually increase in intensity this evening and continue through Friday morning before the rain slowly tapers off Friday afternoon. Rainfall rates of up to a quarter of an inch per hour are possible between 10 PM tonight and 10 AM Friday, with a storm total between 3 and 4 inches of rain likely with this event. Prolonged heavy rain may lead to areas of flooding along smaller streams and creeks, in low-lying and poor drainage areas, and ponding of water on roadways. Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
