* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Yentna River. * WHEN...Until noon AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water could enter a few low-lying cabins along the Yentna River, particularly near Lake Creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 139 PM AKDT, recent heavy rains have caused rapid river rises. Minor flooding is expected to continue, especially along the Yentna River near Lake Creek. For Yentna River at Lake Creek: At 1:30pm the stage was 21.5 feet. Flood Stage is 20.5 feet. Impacts: At 20.5 feet: Anglers Inn & King Point Lodges will have water in several cabins. At 22.0 feet: Several lodges and resorts will have water in a number of cabins with water also encroaching the main lodge buildings. Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood If you live near or along Yentna River, stay alert and be prepared to take action.
