What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Autauga County in central Alabama... Northeastern Lowndes County in south central Alabama... Northwestern Montgomery County in south central Alabama... * WHEN...Until 115 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1112 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northwestern Montgomery, Autaugaville, White Hall, Autauga County Airport, Hunter, Maxwell Air Force Base, Woodcrest, Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, Alabama State Capitol, Alabama State University and Manack.
