What is happening

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. Where: A portion of southeast Alabama, including the following counties, Coffee, Dale, Geneva and Houston. When: Until 845 PM CDT.

What the bulletin says to do

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Alabama, including the following counties, Coffee, Dale, Geneva and Houston. * WHEN...Until 845 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 649 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Daleville, Enterprise, Fort Rucker, Hartford, Level Plains, Clayhatchee, Cool Springs, High Bluff, Cairns Aaf, Keyton, Gerald, Coppinville, Hendrix Crossroad, Chancellor, Dundee and Knox Field. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
