Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, including the following counties, Dale and Henry and southwest Georgia, including the following counties, Clay, Quitman and Randolph. * WHEN...Until 345 PM EDT /245 PM CDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1237 PM EDT /1137 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour will also lead to additional flooding developing across the advisory area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Abbeville, Fort Gaines, Georgetown, Coates, Thomas Mill Creek, Double Bridges, Otho, Ricks Place, Bonapartes Retreat, Bagby State Park, Standleys Store, Walter F George Lake, Scottsboro Crossroads, Days Crossroads, Screamer, Watson Crossroads, Moores Crossroads, Wire Bridge, Walter F.
