* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...East Central Jefferson County in central Alabama... * WHEN...Until 645 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 346 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Irondale, Leeds, Lake Purdy, Barber Motorsports Park, Cahaba Heights, Alton, The Summit, Shops of Grand River, Samford University, Liberty Park, Grants Mill Road Bridge and Birmingham Zoo.
