* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...West Central Mobile County in southwestern Alabama... * WHEN...Until 745 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 450 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain along with intense rain rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Midtown Mobile, Tillmans Corner, Semmes, Tanner Williams, Mobile Regional Airport, I10 And I65, Orchard, Wheelerville, West Hill, Seven Hills, Dawes, Meadow Lake, Forest Hill, Mann, Tacon, Eight Mile, Navco and Mertz. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
