Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 1115 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 813 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sierra Vista, Hereford, Palominas and Coronado National Memorial. This includes Route 92 between mile markers 328 and 341. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Moson Rd from HWY 90 and Hereford Rd. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
