What the bulletin says to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...East Central Cochise County in southeastern Arizona, mainly over the western Chiricahua Mountains including Turkey Creek and Rucker Canyon... * WHEN...Until 315 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 110 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Turkey Creek, Rucker Canyon, East Turkey Creek, Pinery Creek, Stanford Creek, Whitewater Draw, Witch Creek, Ash Creek and Pridham Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. This includes Route 181 between mile markers 47 and 52. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Hwy 181 at Turkey Creek. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
