Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 600 AM MST. * IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1205 AM MST, Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen earlier in the evening. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are expected over the area. Areas of significant rainfall has occurred over the past several days. Expect minor flooding throughout the night and rises in larger washes. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Douglas, Bisbee, Naco, Bisbee-Douglas Airport, Pearce- Sunsites, Pirtleville, Elfrida, Sunizona, McNeal and Rucker Canyon. This includes the following highways... Route 90 near mile marker 336. Route 80 between mile markers 320 and 322...and between mile markers 328 and 401. Route 181 between mile markers 39 and 53. Route 191 between mile markers 1 and 47. Route 92 between mile markers 350 and 355. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Davis Rd between HWY 80 & HWY 191 and Hwy 181 at Turkey Creek. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
