Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Maricopa County in south central Arizona... * WHEN...Until 115 AM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1013 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Flying E Wash, Jimmie Wash, Grass Wash, Star Wash, Mill Wash, Daggs Wash, Red Cloud Wash, Hartman Wash, Cemetery Wash, Jackrabbit Wash, Powerline Wash, Woodchopper Wash, Dead Horse Wash, Sols Wash and Hassayampa River. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include...
