What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Above action stage observed at Brawley Wash in Three Points at 13.44 feet around 2:00 PM MST. * WHERE...North Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 230 AM MST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 235 PM MST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marana, Three Points, Avra Valley and Picture Rocks. This includes the following highways... Route 86 between mile markers 146 and 153. Route 286 between mile markers 22 and 45. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Manville Rd at Brawley Wash and Twin Peaks Rd between Sanders and Sandario. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
